Meeting 7th October 2014
This week's meeting followed a very different format with Dave delivering an Educational about Effective Evaluation.
This is one of the areas our President, Linda, said she wanted the club to concentrate on this year and so it was a timely reminder of how to evaluate and the value of good feedback.
After the ten minute Educational there were two other speakers and it was suggested, and agreed, that we would get into small groups and use Dave's Evaluation handout to give group evaluations. The handout was a list of suggested topics to think about and make notes on and it is a useful resource for us to keep.
I am sure that if anyone could not make the meeting Dave would allow me to email you a copy.... just let me know
It was extremely brave of the other two speakers to allow themselves to be evaluated five times but they both accepted it with good grace and agreed it had been useful.

...so there is just time for me to remind you all about the Open Evening on the 21st October...
It is the 90th Anniversary of Toastmasters this Autumn!! I hope I am still a member for the Centenary. So we have decided we will have an Open Evening and invite as many guests along as we can.
Can everyone try and bring a guest whether it is someone who may be interested in joining, someone who has heard you talk about Toastmasters and would like to see what the meetings are really like or just someone who wants to watch for the evening.
If you have been as a guest before or are a past member feel free to come along and say Hi.
There will be two Table Topics sessions and in the second one guests can volunteer to be included and have a go, although absolutely no pressure.
If you are definitely going to be bringing someone could you let one of the committee know or comment on this post so we know how many extra chairs we will need.
